🎨 3 Tips for Avoiding High Fees on Artist Services 🎨
I hate seeing artists struggle—especially with the business side of running an art practice. Here are 3 of my tips to save money while getting the help you need!
1️- Use ChatGPT for Your Writing Needs
From social media posts to artist statements, newsletters, and inquiry emails:
Start by writing your own version—don’t worry about mistakes.
Then ask ChatGPT to improve things like flow and tone (more professional, more friendly, etc.), or to suggest anything you might’ve missed.
Always read and edit to keep your own voice intact!
2️- Talk to Other Artists
Reach out to artists and ask if they’d mind answering a few questions. Be ready with clear, specific questions so you don’t waste their time. Most artists are happy to help!
3️-Structure Your Artist Statement with ChatGPT
When starting your artist statement ask chat to help you structure a professional artist statement. Ask chat to ask you questions to get to know your work. Ask it what to set aside for your bio as well.
Write both in your own words—don’t stress about grammar or perfection. Again, ask chat to improve on things like grammar, flow, more or less professional or friendly etc. Ask it if there's anything else it thinks you should include.
💡 Remember: Tools like ChatGPT are here to help, but your voice and ideas are what matter most!
Stay tuned for more artist tips—I’ve got plenty to share! ✨
